Christian bought this one in France
Hi,
my name is Christian, I'm 44 years old and
come from Germany.
I just bought a black model, it was
re-imported from France.
The serial-number is 110947067.
Maybe you saw it in ebay last week, I
bought it immediately as I saw it, because I always wanted an original black
P1 and its location was just 20km from my home.
Of course it needs some work but I'm happy
to have it.
I know your site since some time but I
waited with my mail until I had something relevant to send with.
it was made in autumn 1984 with the
well-known band 'Die Ärzte' and a P1 plays a big role in this movie. There
are some scenes where the car is really used as a piece of art.
If you don't know it, I made some
'primitive' on-screen-photos for you.
'Die Ärzte' were an unknown band when the
movie was filmed, one year later they were famous and still are today.
Because the license-plate of the P1 is B-DR 104 it's quite possible that the
car was privately owned by one of the band. I don't know if you know in
Holland, but a 'doctor' or 'DR' is called 'Arzt' (or 'Ärzte' in this case)
in Germany.
It would be very nice from you if I could

from Berlin from autumn 1984 ... it would be interesting if it's still
alive.

meanwhile the car has arrived, an maybe you are interested in some details...
Look at the french plate and at the stickers, the headlamps are also different, they are flat and it seems to me they are the same as on the american model, transformed to the 'Shell-Economy-Car'.
And once more lots of respect for your work on this fantastic site, I don't think it could be any better.
